It is expected that he will discuss ways to revitalize the gaming industry at the T1 Base Camp, where professional gamer 'Faker' Lee Sang-hyeok belongs. Huang is also expected to encourage the professional gamers belonging to T1. He has shown special interest in the Korean gaming industry and e-sports culture.
In the evening, they will hold an evening meeting at a meat restaurant near Hongdae called 'Hyungnim Jeoyo'. Chey Tae-won, chairman of SK Group; Koo Kwang-mo, chairman of LG Group; and Lee Hae-jin, global investment officer (GIO) of Naver, are scheduled to participate.
Taking the opportunity of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in October last year, Huang had visited Korea and enjoyed 'chimaek' (chicken and beer) for dinner with Jay Y. Lee, chairman of Samsung Electronics, and Euisun Chung, executive chair of Hyundai Motor Group, at a chicken restaurant called 'Kkanbu Chicken'. This upcoming meeting is practically the '2nd Kkanbu Meeting'. This time, it is expected that samgyeopsal (pork belly) and soju will be chosen as the dinner menu. This is why it is being called the 'Sam-So Meeting'.
Huang is reported to have scheduled visits to major domestic companies, artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics startups, and Seoul National University until June 8. He will focus on discussing plans to build a 'physical AI' ecosystem and cooperation measures with South Korea.
