Swedish premium EV brand Polestar officially launched its flagship electric SUV, the Polestar 3, in South Korea on Wednesday, expanding its lineup following the successful debut of the Polestar 4.
Polestar Korea aims to strengthen its presence in the premium EV segment by offering the Polestar 3 at one of the most competitive prices among global markets.
The Polestar 3 has already earned international recognition for its safety, being named the “Safest Car of 2025” by Euro NCAP, Europe's independent vehicle safety authority.
Designed to deliver sports car-like performance, the SUV is available in three variants: Rear Motor, Dual Motor, and Performance. The flagship Performance model produces up to 680 horsepower (500 kW) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.
Built on an 800V high-voltage architecture, the Polestar 3 supports DC fast charging of up to 350 kW, allowing the battery to recharge from 10% to 80% in approximately 22 minutes. Under Korea's certification standards, the Dual Motor model offers a driving range of 486 km, while the Performance version is rated at 438 km. The Korean-certified range for the Rear Motor variant, which delivers up to 603 km under the WLTP standard, will be announced at a later date.
To ensure agile handling despite its large SUV proportions, the Polestar 3 comes standard with advanced chassis technologies, including ZF Dual Chamber Air Suspension, which adjusts to road conditions up to 500 times per second, and large four-piston Brembo brakes. It also features an active front motor disconnect system that improves driving efficiency by disengaging the front motor when conditions permit.
As a software-defined vehicle (SDV), the Polestar 3 is powered by the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin processor, capable of performing 254 trillion operations per second, enabling intelligent control of advanced driver assistance systems and battery management. Its front-mounted SmartZone integrates 12 ultrasonic sensors, radar, and cameras to detect potential hazards.
The exterior reflects design elements from the Polestar Precept concept, featuring an aerodynamic silhouette optimized for efficiency. The cabin incorporates sustainable materials, including animal welfare-certified Nappa leather, while the optional Plus Pack adds a 1,610W Bowers & Wilkins premium audio system.
Pricing starts at KRW 77.9 million for the Rear Motor model, KRW 85.9 million for the Dual Motor version, and KRW 99.9 million for the Performance model.

The Polestar 3 is available for online orders starting today through Polestar's official website and can be viewed at all seven Polestar Spaces across South Korea. Customers will receive a five-year/100,000 km vehicle warranty and 15 years of complimentary over-the-air (OTA) software updates as standard.
