Google Cloud is rolling out its generative AI service, Gemini Enterprise, to all Samsung Electronics Device eXperience (DX) division employees worldwide. The deployment marks the largest enterprise agentic AI rollout in Korea to date.
Google Cloud announced on July 13 that it has partnered with Samsung Electronics to provide Gemini Enterprise to DX division employees globally, including in Korea. This represents Google Cloud's largest enterprise agentic AI implementation in the domestic market so far.
Samsung DX employees will use the Gemini Enterprise app as an intelligence-driven, conversational workspace. Rather than functioning as a standalone chatbot, the app serves as a centralized gateway that connects the company's scattered internal systems. Employees can search and synthesize knowledge across the organization in real time, shifting from simple information lookup to a more guided, proactive approach to problem-solving.
The long-term goal of the partnership is to democratize AI across Samsung Electronics, empowering both developers and non-technical staff to build their own AI agents. Gemini Enterprise is expected to continue expanding its advanced development capabilities to support that vision.
The company-wide rollout of the Gemini Enterprise app is expected to serve as a key foundation for Samsung's broader AI roadmap. By establishing an enterprise-grade environment with strong security and governance, Samsung aims to give employees a safe starting point for AI adoption--laying the groundwork for a future stage in which customized, multi-step AI agents can autonomously manage complex enterprise workflows.
Through an agentic framework built for governance, security, and scalability, Google Cloud plans to help staff in departments like HR and marketing build agents tailored to their specific needs.
On the security front, Gemini Enterprise has been deployed directly within a dedicated Google Cloud tenant environment for Samsung's DX division, reinforcing data sovereignty and enterprise governance. The companies say this ensures sensitive corporate data remains within a controlled environment without risk of external exposure.
“True workplace transformation in the agentic era requires moving beyond simple productivity tools toward deeper operational intelligence,” said Ruth Sun, President of Google Cloud Korea. “Gemini Enterprise marks the starting point for Samsung employees to step into true enterprise AI, and it will serve as a secure foundation for accelerating business innovation at a global scale, tailored to the organization's diverse needs.”
