Samsung Electro-Mechanics held its “2026 Supplier Site Visit Communication Forum” on Sep. 2 at the headquarters of Fine Technology in Yangsan, South Gyeongsang Province, bringing together supplier representatives to reaffirm their commitment to collaboration.
The forum was organized to strengthen strategic partnerships with suppliers amid rapidly changing markets driven by artificial intelligence (AI), automotive electronics, and other emerging sectors. The company said the initiative aims to build a foundation for shared growth, secure stronger technology competitiveness, and advance practical cooperation across the supply chain.
“The AI era is still at its Jan. 1 stage,” said Jang Deok-hyun, President and CEO of Samsung Electro-Mechanics. “From a long-term perspective, AI-led growth and innovation are an inevitable trend that cannot be reversed.”
Jang shared an update on Samsung Electro-Mechanics' management performance and the key business directions of its divisions. He emphasized the importance of differentiating component technologies for high-growth markets such as AI infrastructure, servers, and automotive electronics, while underscoring the need for strategic cooperation with suppliers.
Jang, other senior executives from Samsung Electro-Mechanics, and around 40 supplier representatives also toured Fine Technology's manufacturing facilities. Samsung Electro-Mechanics said it plans to reflect feedback gathered during the visit in customized support programs for suppliers and to continue identifying practical initiatives for mutual growth.
Samsung Electro-Mechanics works with roughly 900 suppliers in Korea and overseas, ranging from companies with annual revenue in the billions of KRW to businesses generating more than 1 trillion KRW annually. Among them, 40 key domestic component suppliers belong to Hyupbuhoe, the company's supplier council. Established in 1986, the council has been operating for four decades.
