Samsung SDS said it plans to deepen its partnership with Anthropic after becoming the first South Korean company to attain Select Tier status in the Claude Partner Network (CPN), following an earlier strategic alliance between the two companies.
The company announced on Sep. 15 that it had earned Select Tier partner status in Anthropic's Claude Partner Network. Anthropic is the AI safety and research company behind the Claude family of AI models.
Samsung SDS had already secured authorized reseller status to provide Claude through Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Web Services' generative AI platform, while supporting customers with deployment and operations. The new CPN Select Tier designation expands its ability to offer end-to-end services around Claude, including implementation consulting, model provision through Amazon Bedrock, service development and operations, and technical support.
The company said the qualification strengthens its one-stop enterprise AI adoption framework, covering the full process from initial planning and deployment to ongoing management.
Samsung SDS plans to combine Anthropic's AI capabilities with its experience in digital transformation and AI transformation, or AX, across industries including the public sector, financial services, manufacturing and logistics. The company aims to expand Claude-based AI services and AI agent deployments tailored to enterprise customers' business needs.
Samsung SDS and Anthropic formed a strategic partnership in July to expand the enterprise AI business based on Claude in South Korea. Their collaboration includes jointly identifying new business opportunities in the Korean market, conducting joint marketing and proof-of-concept projects, expanding commercial initiatives, and training Applied AI Engineers.
Under its “Client Zero” strategy, Samsung SDS first deploys and validates emerging technologies internally before rolling them out to customers. As part of that approach, the company has introduced Claude Enterprise into its own operations to improve productivity.
Samsung SDS currently provides Claude Enterprise to about 70,000 employees across 20 Samsung affiliates, supporting their transition toward AI-native ways of working.
Based on that large-scale internal deployment, Samsung SDS said it intends to build practical expertise and enterprise use cases for Claude, then extend that experience to customer AI adoption projects and AX initiatives.
“By combining Anthropic's frontier AI capabilities with Samsung SDS's industry-specific digital transformation experience, we will help Korean companies accelerate AI adoption and generate tangible business value,” said Lee Jun-hee, President and CEO of Samsung SDS. “We will support customers' successful AI transformation by integrating global AI technologies, including Claude, with Samsung SDS's multidimensional AI full-stack capabilities.”
