“AI Revenue to Account for 50% by Next Year”

NHN Cloud has introduced its next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) full-stack brand, “NHN FactoryX” (FactoryX). The company plans to leap forward as a “national AI infrastructure enterprise” leading the AI transformation (AX) by providing a three-stage integrated execution environment that spans from securing graphics processing units (GPUs) to efficient operation and agent execution.
On the 26th, Kim Dong-hoon, CEO of NHN Cloud, held a press conference at The Plaza Hotel Seoul in Jung-gu, Seoul, and disclosed the new AI full-stack brand FactoryX, which integratedly provides AI infrastructure, platforms, and services, along with mid-to-long-term business strategies.
FactoryX is a brand that combines “Factory,” meaning a factory that produces large-scale AI, with NHN Cloud's experience and the customer's AX journey, represented by “X.” Through this, the brand supports expanding companies' AI projects, which remain in the proof-of-concept stage, into actual business environments.
Kim, CEO of NHN Cloud, emphasized, “Only seven out of 100 companies utilize GPUs properly, which is why AI infrastructure operation and utilization are important,” adding, “Through FactoryX, we will support the great AI transformation of the public and private sectors.”
NHN Cloud put forward its experience in government GPU projects as its AI infrastructure competitiveness. The company is integratedly operating H100 GPUs and domestic neural processing units (NPUs) at the Gwangju National AI Data Center. At 'FactoryX Seoul,' an AI-dedicated data center built with 7,656 B200 GPUs, the organization operates Korea's first exascale AI cluster with a total scale of 27.4 EF (exflops) through a government-led GPU project.
The CEO said, “We are promptly securing GPUs by establishing a GPU supply and demand system through cooperation with global vendors,” adding, “We also plan to promote additional AI infrastructure expansion through a new data center project in Pohang in the future.”
On this day, NHN Cloud introduced services that support GPU operation and AI execution along with FactoryX. The enterprise unveiled ”GPU Live,“ a GPU integrated management platform that helps utilize expensive GPU assets efficiently without waste, and ”AI EasyMaker,“ an AI development platform. In the service area, it presented ”ProjectX,“ an AI agent execution environment. Scheduled to be released in the second half of this year, ProjectX is a service that supports even non-developers in designing customized AI agents for enterprises based on natural language.
In the future, NHN Cloud plans to respond omnidirectionally to various market demands, ranging from general-purpose GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) to customized private AI infrastructure, across the public and private sectors, and to expand its business scope.
The CEO said, “Based on the capability of maintaining an annual average growth rate of 24% over the past three years, we are continuing to record double-digit growth rates,” and added, “Based on this growth trend, we expect to achieve an annual turnaround into profit this year and to pull up the proportion of the AI business to more than 50% by 2027.”
He continued, “As for the Japan business, we will be able to make meaningful changes in terms of profit and loss by around next year,” adding, “Once the demand for AI infrastructure in Japan begins in earnest, we plan to further expand the business volume, focusing on data center investment and GPU construction.”
