LG AI Research has partnered with financial IT specialist Koscom to launch a specialized artificial intelligence (AI) prediction and analysis service tailored to the South Korean stock market. The collaboration connects Koscom's extensive financial market data with EXAONE BI, LG's finance-focused AI agent.
Under the agreement, LG AI Research will feed Koscom's comprehensive market data into EXAONE BI. The platform leverages a multi-agent architecture in which multiple sub-agents collaborate to perform data analysis, reasoning, prediction, and natural language explanation. Designed to support highly complex corporate decision-making, EXAONE BI is already in commercial use for applications such as forecasting lithium prices and demand.
For this rollout, Koscom will supply critical market data needed to accurately analyze Korean equities, including domestic trading data, corporate regulatory filings, and macroeconomic indicators. Using this information, LG AI Research has optimized EXAONE BI's time-series forecasting and data analysis engines specifically for the unique characteristics of the South Korean financial ecosystem.
The two organizations plan to distribute the new service to both domestic and international investors. They intend to leverage Koscom's strong institutional client base in South Korea alongside the global distribution channels of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), a key global partner of LG AI Research.
Previously, LG AI Research teamed up with LSEG to commercialize a global AI service that forecasts stock trajectories for U.S.-listed equities. The new initiative marks the official expansion of that system--which not only predicts price directions but also explains the underlying rationale--into the South Korean stock market.
To mitigate hallucinations--a common issue where generative AI produces inaccurate or misleading information during analysis--LG AI Research and Koscom plan to implement a rigorous validation loop. They will continuously evaluate both the accuracy of the underlying predictive logic and the factual fidelity of the AI-generated commentary in order to steadily improve service quality.
As the Korean stock market gains momentum amid heightened volatility, demand for reliable AI-driven predictive insights has grown rapidly. Industry experts expect the joint service to provide crucial, data-backed support for investor decision-making.
“Leveraging LG's proprietary AI technologies, we aim to deliver highly reliable intelligence to both institutional and retail investors worldwide,” said Woo-hyoung Im, Co-Director of LG AI Research. “Our goal is to drive technological innovation across the financial services sector.”
“Starting with this predictive platform, we plan to roll out a diverse portfolio of advanced AI products to lead the artificial intelligence transformation of financial markets,” added Chang-hyun Yun, CEO of Koscom.
