Chairman Koo will visit the U.S. next week to meet with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang.
Chairman Koo is scheduled to meet with CEO Huang at NVIDIA's headquarters in Silicon Valley next week. This will be their first meeting in about two months since their official meeting at LG Twin Towers in Yeouido in early June. It will also mark Chairman Koo's first visit to Silicon Valley in four months since April this year.
Earlier, during their meeting in Yeouido, Chairman Koo and CEO Huang agreed to collaborate in various fields, including AI infrastructure such as data centers, robotics, and autonomous driving.
Immediately after the meeting, Chairman Koo stated, “We couldn't discuss details due to time constraints, but we also talked about inviting him to California next time.”
It is expected that Chairman Koo will discuss detailed cooperation plans, investment scales, and technology development timelines with CEO Huang during their upcoming meeting.
LG and NVIDIA are collaborating in the fields of physical AI, data centers, and mobility. In physical AI, LG Electronics is pursuing strategic cooperation with NVIDIA across the entire development process—from data construction and simulation to learning and behavior—in the next-generation robotics sector.
In data centers, cooperation is expected to expand, as LG Electronics recently received technical certification from NVIDIA for its coolant distribution unit (CDU) technology for managing heat in AI infrastructure. In mobility, LG Innotek is expanding optimized development for next-generation drive architectures based on its communication modules and sensing solutions.
During its recent second-quarter earnings briefing, LG Electronics stated, “We are collaborating with NVIDIA in building robotics data factories, advancing robot foundation models, and developing simulation and verification platforms. In the AI factory sector, we are working to integrate NVIDIA's AI data center platform with LG Electronics' infrastructure solutions.”
