TERATEC, SK Networks Service, NetApp, and Intel Korea Jointly Launch 'NetApp AIPod Mini' in Korea
TERATEC, in collaboration with SK Networks Service, NetApp Korea, and Intel Korea, announced the official domestic launch of the 'NetApp AIPod Mini with Intel' on the 10th. This strategic partnership aims to provide a streamlined AI infrastructure for industries handling sensitive data, such as legal, retail, manufacturing, and finance, allowing them to implement AI inference and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) without exposing private information to external clouds.
As enterprises increasingly adopt AI for tasks like contract review and inventory forecasting, many have struggled with the complexity and scale of traditional enterprise AI infrastructure. The NetApp AIPod Mini addresses these hurdles by offering a compact, departmental-level solution. It meets the growing demand for on-premise AI, ensuring that sensitive data--ranging from legal documents to proprietary blueprints--remain securely within the company's secure infrastructure.
The solution integrates Intel® Xeon® 6 processors with Intel AMX-based computing power, NetApp AFF All-Flash storage, and the ONTAP data management platform. By incorporating a software stack based on the Open Platform for Enterprise AI (OPEA), the system simplifies the deployment and management of AI environments. This architecture is specifically optimized for RAG workflows, enabling AI to generate context-aware responses based on real-time internal data, such as manuals and facility logs, rather than relying on generalized public datasets.
Security and data governance are at the forefront of this launch. Leveraging NetApp ONTAP's robust access control features, the solution offers the level of data sovereignty required by highly regulated sectors, including finance and the public sector. The four collaborating partners plan to provide an end-to-end support system that encompasses not only hardware deployment but also Proof of Concept (PoC), consulting, and ongoing operational maintenance.
To facilitate adoption, TERATEC has established a dedicated AI Demo Room. This facility allows potential clients to experience RAG-based business scenarios firsthand and conduct technical validations in a real-world environment. By providing this hands-on testing ground, the partnership enables companies to realistically evaluate on-premise AI strategies and establish clear implementation roadmaps.
