Samsung Biologics announced on June 15 that it will participate in the 2026 BIO International Convention (BIO USA), one of the world's largest pharmaceutical and biotechnology exhibitions, held from June 22 to 25 (local time) at the San Diego Convention Center in California, USA.
Organized by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), the BIO International Convention is held every June in major U.S. biotech hubs, bringing together global pharmaceutical and biotech stakeholders to discuss collaboration opportunities. This year's event is themed “The Science of Change: Enabling Innovation,” and is expected to attract more than 20,000 attendees.
Samsung Biologics has been the only Korean company to maintain a 14-year streak of exhibiting with an independent booth since its founding in 2011, showcasing its competitiveness in contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) services. At this year's event, the company will also operate a 140㎡ booth in a prime exhibition area, using various content and interactive programs to expand new client opportunities.
The booth will feature a large LED wall at the top, along with touchscreen-based experiences covering its full CRDMO services--Contract Research Organization (CRO), Contract Development Organization (CDO), and Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO). The company also plans to highlight its expanded production capabilities, including its recently acquired Rockville campus in the United States, to further solidify its position as a global CDMO leader.
During the event, Samsung Biologics will present in multiple sessions to promote its global manufacturing capacity and business expansion strategy. On the second day, James Choi, Vice President of Business Support, will join an official panel session titled “Korea's Rise: Spotlight on Asia's Emerging Innovation Hub.” Jeff Mason, Executive Director of Sales for the Americas, will also take part in a fireside chat highlighting the company's global production capabilities.
Samsung Biologics will also conduct sponsorship activities to enhance brand visibility during the exhibition. More than 170 banners will be installed along Harbor Drive--the main route from San Diego International Airport to the convention center--as well as on streetlights near the venue. In addition, digital advertising screens across four locations in the main exhibition lobby will showcase the company's vision and service capabilities.
