Chinese EV maker Zeekr is set to begin customer deliveries of its midsize electric SUV, the 7X, in South Korea.
Zeekr Korea plans to deliver the flagship 7X Ultra trim as early as the end of this month. Although classified as a midsize SUV, the 7X Ultra offers interior space comparable to that of a full-size SUV. Deliveries of the Pro and Max trims are scheduled to begin sequentially from September.
Earlier this month, Zeekr announced that customer test drives would begin in mid-July at nine dealerships and showrooms nationwide, marking the full-scale launch of domestic sales for the 7X.
Zeekr announced that pre-orders for the 7X, which opened on June 5, surpassed 1,000 units within a month.
The 7X Max accounted for 59% of all pre-orders, followed by the Ultra and Pro trims.
According to Zeekr Korea, the concentration of pre-orders in the higher-end trims reflects Korean consumers' strong preference for high-performance luxury SUVs.
Zeekr is also expanding its after-sales service infrastructure in South Korea. Beginning with the opening of the country's largest Zeekr service center in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, in partnership with its local dealer network, the company plans to establish a total of 11 service centers nationwide.
Zeekr Korea is offering special pre-order incentives for each trim through July 15. Customers who reserve the Pro trim can purchase the Premium Comfort Package--which includes the Zeekr Sound Pro audio system as well as front-row massage and ventilated seats--at a discounted price of KRW 1 million, down from the regular KRW 2 million.
Customers who pre-order the Max or Ultra trims will receive a complimentary refrigerator/freezer option, along with an additional discount of up to KRW 1 million when selecting either the Stargate Lighting or Auto Door option.
